Does having lupus mean you should avoid being around sick people?

I know lupus is an autoimmune disease, but a friend is seeing someone with small kids. The kids get sick a lot. Is she at risk from their germs/illnesses?

Lupus does not put people at risk of infections, but some of the lupus treatments suppress the immune system. Treatments are typically targeted at suppressing the immune system so it stops attacking normal cells. She might get sick more easily than normal if she is taking medicines that reduce her immunity, but its probably not enough of a difference to be concerned.
