Online sales and taxing items in ny.?

Question

I m trying to have a better understanding as to how the taxing items sold on a website work. If I chose to start and operate a online toy store out of my home by myself living in ny would I only charge taxes on items sold to people living in ny because this is the only state I have nexus in? I would be ordering items at wholesale and using my own property to store items for now. Just starting small and seeing where it goes. I understand there is a lot to understand before I push forward.
