Hi, Amelia- There are lots of colleges and universities which offer programs in equine studies, equine science, animal science, animal husbandry, and several other related fields. Contrary to what Jeff said, they aren't all two year facilities, either. I grew up near one of these universities, in fact, so I know what I'm talking about. Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN not only has an animal science and equine science major ( leading to a 4 year degree) but they also have a vet school and offer pre-vet programs as well. And they're just one example of a school like this. Purdue also has a nationally ranked riding team and participates in the IHSA and NCAA.

It would be helpful to know what part of the country you live in, Amelia, and where you would like to attend college when you get to that point. There's no possible way I can list all the schools and colleges that offer 2 or 4 year degrees and which have riding teams in this forum, because there isn't space enough to do so. But I can give you a few ideas for each major region. All schools listed offer equine or animal science programs, and have riding teams.
