some verb mistake. Only 3 place. Please help?

There are 3 verb that are wrong in this essay.

When Puerto Rican baseball player Roberto Clemente first came to the Brooklyn Dodgers' training camp in Florida, he found he was the youngest player on the team. He was also the only Puerto Rican. Only one other player spoke Spanish. He encounter racism and segregation for the first time. Being dark-skinned, he was treated like a black person. From 1870s until 1960s, many states had laws that segregated, or separated, blacks from whites. Some cities and states required blacks to sit in separate sections of theaters or buses, or to go to all-black schools, for example. Because of his skin tone, the segregation laws kept him out of "whites-only" establishments. But in Puerto Rico, there been no segregation. Clemente suddenly face social barriers as well as language barriers.
