http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en is the main site for checking rail schedules. You have to use the Italian names for the cities (Roma, Napoli)
There are 3-4 trains per hour between the two cities. The express train Frecciarossa 1000 takes just over an hour. The slower trains take 2 hours. It's about 30 euro for the fast train and 20 for the slow train so it depends on whether time or money is more important

Go to the station the day before you're travelling, go to the counter, tell the person there what you want to do, they'll sort you out with times, tickets and will also explain to you how it works, where you punch the ticket on the platform to validate it (not validating it means you're on the train illegally) and how to find your seat.
It's only 2 hours by train between Rome and Naples, and it's a beautiful journey.

You go to the train station and buy a ticket. They will tell what track your train Leaves on .
be on it. Get off at Naples.
I'm not really sure how many Other ways there are to do that.
You need a ticket and you need a train.
