    Danger is a very relative thing. Most victims of violence are known to the perpetrator. You can't use crime rates to predict how safe a place is for You.

    "most dangerous" also invokes the part of town you are in, and your race (and how well you obey the law). Chicago has been getting a ton of bad press; and Baltimore almost set a new record for number of homicides in a year.

    It also really depends on what data you look at.

    Can look up those stats online but likely it is New Orleans or Detroit- they tend to jump back and forth as #1 in terms of violent crime, murders, etc.
