To me Turkish sounds much better and I know Gülşen who is one of my favorite singers. Unfortunately I don't understand a word and need to look for internet translations if I am interested in Turkish lyrics. The music which I hear is mainly English, Russian and Turkish. Songs in my mother tongue German I rarely like. And Greek songs I don't know at all.

Beside of Gülşen I want to reccommend music from Pilli Bebek, Şebnem Ferah, Seksendört, Aydilge, Hande Yener, Piiz, Tarkan, Üçnoktabir, Duman.

I know it's a little late, but I also don't speak much Turkish but I love Turkish music. Dino's answer is good - I especially like Aydilge and Hande Yener as well as Gulsen. You also might like the following Turkish singers and bands: Model, Betul Demir, Bengu, Aydin Kurtoglu, and Mustafa Ceceli. Enjoy!
