I could talk about the franchise's history in Los Angeles and we could discuss how the NFL desperately wants a presence in the #2 media market in the country.

We could talk about how the team owner, Stan Kroenke, has business interests in California and how he owns the land where the team's new stadium is being built.

We could also discuss how badly the team is doing in St. Louis, attendance-wise, but as everyone almost else has already mentioned these reasons can all be summed up in one word: Money.

Why have they returned? Because they want some of LA's money I guess.

Its because there isn't enough money to be taken in St. Louis.

Money for the owner, and lots of it.
