Is Donald Trump's proposal to temporarily ban foreign Muslims from coming to the U.S. constitutional.?

No where in the constitution does it say that granting citizenship to any foreigners is a right, it's a privilege. Trump proposes to bar radical Islamic terrorists from entering our country, and we have no idea who these Muslim refugees are, they could be ISIS posing as refugees, or sympathizers of ISIS. We've seen what they did in Paris, they are only loyal to Sharia Law which is unconstitutional.

FACT: Jimmy Carter did the same thing by banning Iranians and deported Iranian students in the U.S. during the Iran hostage crisis in 1979-1980. Also FDR did the same with Germans, Japanese and Italians during WW2. We are at war with radical Islamic terrorists the same way we were with the Germans and Japanese during WW2.

    It may be Constitutional.

However, under left-wing-nut doctrine, non-US citizens have a "right" to enter the US, for any reason.

All of your examples are banning someone based on their nationality, not their religion, which legally speaking is much different. Aside from the fact that it's impossible (how can you prove someone is a Muslim if they deny it?) It violates the constitution in that it assigns laws specific to a certain religious practice which has been deemed unconstitutional by various court rulings. Aside from that it's a stupid idea. ISIS's entire propaganda strategy is convincing young men that it's the west vs Islam. What better way to assist their propaganda than by banning an entire religion? In truth, ISIS is very well-served by having refugees trapped in Syria. It gives them a bigger pool to recruit and allows them to blend in better. In a perfect world we would keep ISIS out of the country but the fact is we are a country with 330 million people and millions of flights and there just isn't anyway to keep a handful of people whose identities we don't even know from getting into the country. The Islam immigrant ban in my mind also garuntees that more Muslims already living in America are more likely to self-radicalize like the fort hood shooter if they feel their religion is being treated unfairly by the government

The latest information tends to suggest it's 1) Constitutional and 2) still a terrible idea.
