Is this a good gaming pc build?

I've been working on getting a new computer, I have most of these parts already. However I would like some opinions on it, this pc will be used for mainly gaming, recording, etc.

you already have the cpu Core i7-950 - right?

for this cpu you need an X58 (LGA 1366) motherboard, the Z77 (LGA 1155) is completely incompatible.

8GB ram modules can't be used on a X58 motherboard, the maximum size per module is 4GB.

    UPDATE

if you have everything including the cpu and the motherboard it is mandatory to change either the cpu or the motherboard. in this special case I strongly recommend to change the cpu because it is outdated, the motherboard is much newer and the ram you have will fit.

provided you really have this motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H) I suggest to get this

the cpu is no more available in stores but you can bid for one on ebay, e.g. this one

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/INTEL-i5-3570K-3-4GHz-Quad...

if you bid don't go over $200 it's not worth it.
