How many soldiers died in the Revolutionary War?

Apparently not very many because I recall from The Civil War Series that in the Battle of Shiloh we lost more Americans, dead and wounded, than we had in all the wars up until that time! Probably 3000 American kids killed - 14,000 wounded - another 3000 missing.
