Why don't fragrances ever go on sale?

I've noticed that whenever the major department stores have sales (Macys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, etc.), fragrances are never included. Why is that?

Just go to stores like Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, or Marshalls (I think.) They have the highest quality of perfumes and colognes at a VERY good price. It's almost a steal.

Because the stores never have problems selling those products at full cost. Sales are to either get rid of extra stock or get people to come in and look at higher-rated, expensive items.

    Sephora and Ultra do sometimes.
