Lol. To answer your question, it depends on your point of view. The Saudis and Emirates, our allies, are technically dictatorships in that they are run directly by royalty (Who dabble in drugs, sex and all sorts of democratic things). So technically, yes and no. The other countries are either a political mess, or democratic. Lebanon is a democracy with elections (when they work) and an elected president. Iran is democratic, in its own sort of way.
Also, lol at "assas". In Arabic that means "punishment". The "al" part of a middle eastern last name, especially in the Levant (Lebanon, Syria, Palestine) is part of the last name, not a middle name. It's similar to the German Von and Dutch Van, like VonClarke and so on. It's like a title, some families have it.
