You'll be happy to know I have re-embraced the cultural heritage of Christianity, although I swear fealty to no church.
I will simply say this about these people:
Some of their good points are they do tend to be communal and the homes they grow up in have cohesion. (for most).
But America is the land of propaganda.
Politics and money get into everything.
Of course, Christ said one should have only one master; God or mammon.
I'm afraid like many places before it, America has gone corrupt in the process of empire.
I would not readily condemn the people, and if anything, Christianity must teach us patience.
In my childhood, I remember a song that went:
