If Jesus had a DNA test...?

What would come up?

Update:

It can't have shown the father was Joseph since Mary and Joseph did not have intercourse together.

    • How'd you get August? Bible says shepherds were out with their sheep, which only happens during lambing time, in spring. Thumbs UP for not believing in Eternal Virginity of Mary.

Rumor has it that there would be no human father DNA.

Unfortunately, neither the Shroud of Turin, nor the Turd of Shrowin has any examinable DNA.

However, there IS the Promise reported in Matthew 18, that ANYTHING asked of the Father, in the name of Jesus, will be granted.

(Also a separate passage where it is claimed that Risen Jesus appeared to over 500 people)

So, a few Christians could gather and ask of the Father, in the name of Jesus, that Risen Jesus be allowed to appear before another crowd of "over 500 people", like, say during half time at a televised American football game, and bleed into a sterilized beaker.

This would not only answer your question, but it would prove that the Promise reported in Matthew 18 was not just some lie that some peddler of religion MADE UP about what Jesus said.

Unfortunately, in the centuries since the Bible was first formalized, no Christians have dared to even ASK.

Even though First Thessalonians instructs them to "Prove all things", and proving "Risen Jesus" is one of the most important things to prove.

Hey, Christians... why not give it a try?

What have you got to lose?

    He would have Davids DNA.

Jesus (God) became flesh like everyone else on earth. No where in the Bible says that Jesus became anything special.

Um is this really a question?

If he had a DNA test, Joseph would be his dad and Mary would be his mother. it says it clearly that he came from the seed of Judah, and if you look up "Seed" in the Greek concordance, during Chirst's time, it meant "Sperma". I think we all know that Sperma means, so I won't spell it out. Also, in the Apocrypha, Christ himself says he was made and born in the flesh like any other man. Please do the research. Shalom.

Oh wait, wouldn't they take Joseph's DNA.

Gods capable of anything, I'm sure he'd come up with some explanation.

Source(s): Rule no. 1, do not test God.
    • How come Rule #1, a quote from the OT, absolutely contradicts First Thessalonians, (NT) which specifically instructs EVERYBODY to "Prove all things"? Is not the existence of Risen Christ the MOST important thing? (See First Corinthians for answer.)

Yes. The DNA of God would show up. Problem is that his body is in heaven so it would be impossible.
