I'd say 54, but an argument could be made for anywhere from 47-59.
47 UN members situated primarily on the African mainland: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
6 UN members situated primarily on African islands: Cape Verde, Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Sao Tome and Principe, and Seychelles.
1 UN member situated mostly on the African mainland, but partly in Asia: Egypt.
1 UN member situated mostly in Europe, but partly on the African mainland: Spain.
2 notable disputed states situated primarily on the African mainland: Somaliland and Western Sahara.
2 UN members situated mostly in Europe, but with territories on African islands: The UK (Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha) and France (Mayotte and Reunion).
