Yes and Spaniards are not White they are Brown, White only refers to Arabs, Jews, Berbers, Iranians, Georgians, spaniards are Brown poops color, dot llisten to these self haters they are Brown Brown Brown and will always be BROWN

Their Arab heritage is all around them, architecture, placenames and vocabulary.

If the Spanish were denying those things wouldn't they replace them?

I wouldn't call it colonial mentality but many of them, like other Mediterraneans, suffer from Nordicism. This is why they end up posting blond hair, blue eyes, light skinned, pictures of people to represent their Mediterranean country even though those types are a small minority.

English is heavily influenced by Latin...that doesn't make English people Italians

Prior to the Romans, people in Spain spoke a number of languages--many of them celtic hence many existing celtic place names in Spain.

Language does not ever denote ethnicity.
