Why does everyone take Madonna for granted?

Our society is taking the genius that is Madonna for granted. Madonna has given us the best moments in pop culture history. She has a discography so diverse, she can please any listener. She has opened doors for women, gays, blacks, etc. She has devoted her life and career to art and equal rights. She has worked her *** off for 30 years to entertain us and how do we repay her? By calling her old, and saying she should die already. We repay the woman who is the reason your favorite musician is a thing, by calling her music trash and refusing to play her on the radio. One day, Madonna won't be here anymore, and so many people will pretend they were huge fans like when Michael died. We took Michael for granted, and it wasn't until he was taken from us, that the world recognized how much of a genius he was. We should learn from our mistakes. We should learn to appreciate the artist while they're still here, still making music for us to enjoy, still facing criticism and hatred just for doing what they love to do. When Madonna is gone, we will all regret it, and think about how we made the same mistake again. 30 years into her career and she's still giving us some of her best music to date.

I never liked but one song that she sang. Starlight Starbright. She was just too out there for my taste. Sorry
