Fabreeze? lol, you're just covering the smell.
It's like cigarette smell you have to wash the curtains, wash the rug or remove it entirely (since some of the smell could have gotten into the sponge underneath the carpeting, repaint the room, get rid of the old clothes and things she owned (do you really want to do that right now?), some of that smell is just aging skin and it happens to everyone as they age. When you say there are a few small spots, like where would those be? Sometimes older people go to the rest home because of bladder problems. There are some pet stain/smell removers you might want to try, spraying directly on the smell.
