We are told that the Texas floods are caused by Climate Change and its proof is in the frequency. Does anyone remember this 2005 claim?

But remember when all the saviors of the earth were predicting more often and stronger hurricanes because of Global Warming or Climate Change?

Update:

Louis, " the overall marked increase in large scale weather events this decade is undoubtedly a result of global climate change."

You mean like larger and more often hurricanes? Ha! Ha! Didn't you read the link? There is no quantifiable increase of catastrophic weather or atmospheric activities. We have had floods before. It may be new to you but I am older and have seen many floods.

14th Century "Climate Change" flooding event??....................the result of too many camp fires??

"St. Mary Magdalene's flood (German: Magdalenenhochwasser) was the largest recorded flood in central Europe[1] with water levels exceeding those of the 2002 European floods. It occurred in July 1342 on and around the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, 22 July.

Following the passage of a Genoa low the rivers Rhine, Moselle, Main, Danube, Weser, Werra, Unstrut, Elbe, Vltava and their tributaries inundated large areas. Even the river Eider north of Hamburg flooded the surrounding land. Many towns such as Cologne, Mainz, Frankfurt am Main, Würzburg, Regensburg, Passau and Vienna were seriously damaged. The affected area extended to Carinthia and northern Italy."

There have been floods in Texas, even before the settlers moved into the territory. Many of these so-called pundits rely on the fact that people have short memories. For instance, Houston has flooded many times since the 1830's, but these pundits never mention that. Do they?

If A then B, logically is equivalent to If NOT B, then NOT A.

These claims are just talking points, claims being made to scare people into political action. Saying a hurricane is because of global warming or a flood is just someone trying to sell their agenda, regardless of the facts.

Right - Even though Houston has known to flood out since it was founded in the 1830's, today's floods have to be caused by man, since man is evil and needs to have more regulations before there's more floods.

Whoever told y'all that Texas floods are caused by Climate Change is no scientist. A real scientist only says climate change is expected to cause more extreme events, but we cannot say anything at all about any particular individual extreme event.

It is analogous to how we cannot say smoking caused the lung cancer of one particular patient, but we can say smoking increases the probability of getting lung cancer.

No and with science knowledge expands

Remember Rick Perry asked for people to pray for rain when they suffered a severe drought and record high temps. Since you're a creationist i wonder if you think those prayers have been answered

No credible scientist has specifically said that. They have reiterated that while it is impossible to attribute any single weather event to global warming, the overall marked increase in large scale weather events this decade is undoubtedly a result of global climate change.

The claim is by amateur answerers here. Please quote a collection of climate scientists, not bloggers or the press.
