How far would a spring, with a spring constant of 350 N/m, have to be stretched beyond equilibrium to produce a velocity of 15 m/s when an 800 g mass is attached and released and is allowed to move to the equilibrium position?

    KE = SPE

    1/2*m*v_max^2 = 1/2*k*x^2

    x = v*sqrt(m/k)

    x = 15 m/s * sqrt(0.800 kg / 350 N/m) = 0.72 m
