Why do people kill themselves?

The natural instint is to survive. However, when one has reached the depths of emotional pain whether by their own perception and interpretation experiences or a series of emotional trauma, suicidal ideology can happen. The person will barely be able to think of anything else, but planning which size bullets, which gun, knife, pill, how many for it to work, which pills they will take, how they will die, what time will they die, who will find them, how should they help them find them, should they help them find them, why should they help them find them. Thats it. Their brain has reached a change in which the need to survive is overcome by the need to cease existence. Most people cannot relate to that feeling as they are alive & may have been miserable , but did not reach the hopeless status that led the person to suicide. Those who wake up in a hospital after an attempt, usually wake up hysterical that its one more thing they didn't do right. Docs will then give antipsychotics and anti depressant and mood stabilizer combos to try to stabilize them to transition and help them be receptive to therapy.

Source(s): Some people who know people who have completed suicide comment that the person seemed fine, even happy days before. That happiness is at the fact that they feel relief....Relief that all the details are set and they will be leaving soon...leaving the pain behind.

And to find happiness in times of despair can be difficult as well

To get over mountains of depression can be exhausting and frustrating because everytime we're about to reach the top the wind throws us down.Some people get up and climb again but the victims just decided to purposely let go...and fall

because they hate their life. Could be a result of depression, suicidal thoughts, and people bullying them. It's usually a highly irrational thing to happen.
