意思指計較於眼前的小利,而卻無視於更大的漏洞。

請問這句台語 "省小條、賠大條",英文該如何表達?

    有句諺語.

    (be) penny wise and pound foolish

    大概是類似的意思.

    Stingy about small expenditures and extravagant with large ones

    Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

    The meaning; eg:-

    (be) penny wise and pound foolish 確實是很傳神。

    "省小條、賠大條!"是我在中國的台資廠和台幹接觸中聽到的,當時只認為說的頗為貼切,就牢記心上。想不到英文也有如出一轍的說法。

    看看還有沒有其他說法。

    (另如有中文類似的俚俗語也請提供,不論是廣東話,客家話,上海話。)
