Sentences with more than one clause:-
Complex sentence:-Main Clause + one or more subordinate (dependent) clauses
Various concepts can be expressed with different adverb clauses:-condition, manner---result,concession----manner, result-----
Adverbial clauses are subordinate (dependent) clauses which perform the same function of adverbs.
If adverbial clauses may be reduced by changing them into (1)single adverb,(2)infinitive phrase,(3) participial phrase/phrase containing a gerund;so does one clause contains one finite verb.
The sentence is a complex sentence with 3 clauses (one clause contains one finite verb):-
(1) main clause:-We see someone-------(adv cl of condition+manner)
(2) dependent clause---(that) we know-----(adv cl of result,+concession)
--------------------------------------------------------(that)=relative pronoun
(3) sub.cl-----whenever we come here-------(adv cl of manner+result)
(4)You should analyse now. What did your analysis of the sentence show before?:-(1)mc---sv, (2)dep.c as obj.case---sv, (3)sub.c as obj.case---sv

If no that (1), then (1+2)(someone we knew)=adj.cl.qualifying subj(we) on what (we see) the verb to be analysed !

Whenever we come here, we see someone we know. This is a complex sentence consisting clauses
The main verb - we SEE somenone we know ( we know tells us more about someone)
Whenever we come here, this is a clause telling us when we see somebody. COME can also be classified as a verb because a clause consists a verb too.
Whenever we meet Mary, she is always with her mother. (with her mother - is a phrase here and consists no verb.
You can easily understand or identify what a clause is and what a phrase is.

Whenever we come here we see someone we know.
Rules:
(1) one "clause" has only one "finite" verb. (finite - having numbers and tenses)
(2) you can have as many "clause" in a "sentence" as you may need.
Sentence structure:
(1) single: one clause with one finite verb (main verb).
(2) compound: multiple "main" clause connected with coordinating conjunction (eg. and, or, so, for ...)
(3) complex: only one "main" (independent) clause with multiple "subordinate" (dependent) clauses connected with subordinating conjunctions.
Your sentence is a complex sentence with 3 clauses.
1. main clause: we see someone
2, sub. clause: (that/whom) we know [relative clause]
3. sub. clause: whenever we come here [adverbial clause]
As you can see, there is only one main verb in each of the above clauses (see, know, and come, respectively).
Whenever we come here, we see someone (that/whom) we know.
note: "that/whom" called relative pronoun, can be omitted in the sentence.

Whenever we come here we see someone we know.
其實句子是對的。
句子中的'someone we know' 是修飾 'we' 看到甚麼。
加'that'的話,句子會更加不通順。
對,句子應只有一個verb,但這句有特別的sentence structure。
希望對你有用啦!

一句句子只有一個 MAIN verb 這個說法一定要小心,不能死記。
我舉例:
I ate an apple and drank a cup of tea this morning.
難道是錯的句子嗎?
有兩個 main verbs: ate 和 drank。
再舉例:
If you fail the test or bully others, I will punish you and beat you.

此外,一個善意提醒,gramme 應是 grammar,因為我在這裏已經見過幾次 gramme 的串法。
其實你的發問很有意義,很值得大家學習。

本句不應加 that。
Whenever we come here we see someone we know.
每當我們來到這裏,我們都見到我們認識的人。
