In Italy do you buy land and never pay again ? Or you rent and pay monthly like some people do in the U.S. ? Also, how is it in France?

I'm thinking that if I move to Italy or either France, how would I have to buy a house and how would I pay. Please help me, don't judge I never been to Italy nor France.

In France you rent monthly or you buy a house with a mortgage the same way as the US. In France you can buy land and build a house but you will still need a mortgage like the US to pay for it. Italy will be the same.

if you pay cash for the land - you only pay property taxes in the future in the USA - if you borrow money to buy the land , you will have a payment in ANY country
