Does a pie in the face rob vulnerable people of their dignity?

Is it actually right to laugh at this sort of thing?

Getting a pie in the face does indeed rob someone's dignity; That is the source of the inherent comedy. It's absolutely okay to laugh at the pied person if they are part of an act and/or they "had it coming" (you'll have to decide that based on the person and the situation). It's not okay if the victim is innocent and actually traumatized.

Solution: Only use the pie gag as part of a comedy bit where the "victim" secretly knows it's coming, or as a prank on someone you know will be okay with it.

No, it does not. It robs the person who throws the pie of dignity and credibility.

It's horrible to throw a pie in the face

    It's immature and disrespectful.

    Grow up.

It may be funny to you but not to the person who received the pie.

I know someone who had this happen to them and it wasn't a pleasant outcome.

Grow up and be mature and act your age

Depends on why they got the pie shoved in their face.

You should only laugh at it if it's funny.
