Heavy Rain for first gen Playstation 3 40 GB model with AfterGlow wireless controller compatible?

i was able to start playing the game using my the AfterGlow with Smartrac wireless controller but when it prompted me to shake it nothing happens. i dont have a Sixaxis or PS Move is there something i can do to use this controller with the game?

If theres a way to disable sixxaxis in the game then do so, otherwise no there's nothing you can do.
