Why do Lindsey Graham and John McCain always want to go wild with wanting hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops in Middle Eastern countries?

And they will be necessary the first time an ISIS linked, American-born terrorist commits a big enough crime of at least Sandy Hook proportions. One of the faults of 9-11 in the "9-11 report" was how American policy was to treat terrorism like a law enforcement issue to be reacted upon with each attack treated as an individual crime... sounding familiar? Also familiar is the concept of "quagmires" you people invoke: the same talk for the Cold War, the same talk for Grenada, the same talk for Panama, the same talk for Iraq I, the same talk for Somalia, the same talk for Bosnia, the same talk for East Timor, the same talk for Sudan, the same talk for Afghanistan, the same talk for Iraq II, the same talk for Libya, the same talk for ISIS...* buck-buck*. And we keep ending up there because we never FINISH IT.

We've had over 200,000 troops in Germany since the end of WWII...that's 70 years. And we've had a commensurate number in Italy, Japan and Korea. What, then, is so strange about keeping a standing force in a place like Iraq for many years? This is a proven method to maintaining the security and stability of the host nation. When you don't, as Obama has unfortunately learned, things fall apart very rapidly and everything that we gained through this expensive effort of life and treasure is trashed.

They see themselves as the new crusaders for Jesus. And it's not like they are personally going to have to bleed so send in America's unaborted babies!

Even better, they don't have to pay for any of it. The American people do.

Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne. Conservatives love bloodshed. Look at how the cons here criticize Obama for his reluctance to go back into iraq.

To balance out the Obama response of going golfing as a solution.

Because the region is unstable. It's not like its gonna get any worse with the US there.

Because they would rather have the fight over there than have it in the USA like all liberals want.

Liberals want to pay all of these troops we have trained to sit at home. Let them go and do their jobs.
