I prefer a bath room for each bedroom, i want my bathroom a private place for my personal convenience, so i don't feel discomfort of going to bathroom at odd hours in the night or having to wait for others to finish, or have a quick access to my bathroom in case i am suffering from bad tummy or illness. I think every bedroom must have a bath room of its own, no matter how many bedrooms.

Hello, I agree with all. I think 3 bathrooms are not too much for 3 bedroom house. It is helpfull while incase of guest come to our house. I have 2 bathroom already in my house and one old bathroom was there so we done bath remodel. It looks refresh and new.

No, I don't think so. I reside in north carolina. while looking trough a book of homes for sale I had noticed a good number of houses have the same number of bathrooms as they had bedrooms. There was a few instances where the house had more bathrooms than bedrooms.
I found it kinda amusing it's not necessarily the case where I come from, Metro detroit.

no. but make the kids clean their own! I had a 3 br 2 ba, which we expanded to 4 and 3, which was generally fine, but we now have a 5 br 6 ba, which sounds odd but it is 2 story so there is a guest bath on both levels (1 is 3/4, the other 1/2. The kids baths are attached to their bedrooms, so if they want it to look and smell like a gas station rest room, that's their business!

I once went to a house 5 bedrooms 6 bathrooms I thought that it would be nice to have your own bathroom and a geust to basically have there own aswell having three would be good especially if u have kids it will be good when they get older and need there privacy

My three bedroom house has 3, Guest, master, and basement. Would be tough to eliminate any one of them.

My last 3 bedroom house had 2.5 baths, one up and one down, plus a toilet and wash sink in the laundry room.

Depends on your definition of a 'bathroom', their locations and the overall size of the house.

A 2 storey house with an en-suite and the family bathroom all upstairs should have a powder room on the lower level, for convenience.

A single storey house with and en-suite doesn't need a powder room and depending on the layout the toilet can either be in the family bathroom or adjacent to it
