alternatives for "il y a"?

i'm not allowed to use this in my upcoming french assessment, so could someone give me any other options? merci beaucoup.

    il existe (there is); on peut trouver (you can find);

    but as a native French speaker I can tell you "il y a" is used a lot! You don't use other expressions that often
