Things definitely seem to be changing very quickly. I like to think that all the added security measures we see are actually meant to protect our basic rights of privacy, safety, and freedom of speech, religion, etc. With added security at schools, airports, banks, etc. With the use of guards, dogs, cameras, wiretaps, etc. It does make me wonder.
It is a fine line between too much intervention and protection. With the world becoming smaller and smaller, with fear rampant, those who want police states are making progress. However here in the USA, we still can travel in our country without being stopped for IDs, we can still worship how we want, attend schools of our choice, work where we want to, etc. Despite the chaos in the world, I think we are a ways from an actual police state. I pray we never get to that point. By travel in our country, I meant travel by car, not planes.
