What after John carter from mars?

I know the movie flops and because of that there will be not sequel. Can anyone tell me what happen next?

After the Walt Disney Company transferred the film rights, the owners of the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. stated they "will be seeking a new partner to help develop new adventures on film as chronicled in the eleven Mars novels Burroughs wrote." Until then, nothing will happen unless a studio or production company buys the film rights from them, and adapt the novel(s).

Nothing will happen and no remakes/reboots will be made unless another studio buys the rights from Disney or the studio decides to remake it
