Are recurrent yeast infections serious?

I had a mild yest infection for about 4 1/2 years without trying to treat it. I didn't think it was a yeast infection. Got it checked out and it was a yeast infection and had it treated and it went away. But 4 months after treatment it came back and I treated it with OTC medicine and it went away. Seemed to come back before period and a time when I had a lot of beer.

I'm a hypochondriac and usually over worry about things. I feel totally healthy otherwise. But I looked on the internet and scared myself into thinking my recurrent yeast infections may be serious?

How do I know if I need to ask the doc to check my blood for diabetes, leukemia, and systemic candidal disease, and low immunity or is that weird since I feel incredibly healthy otherwise?

Just tell your doctor about the recurring yeast infections and let them go from there.

They'll decide what tests you need, not you and Dr. Google.

p.s. You're a hypochondriac so stop looking up symptoms. No good can come from that. You'll just convince yourself of the worst, just like you already have.
