What are the alternatives to capitalism?

Sometimes I hear people complaining about capitalism for a variety of reasons, but I don't think there is a good alternative to the captialist system. It makes sense. People building wealth for themselves. But other than some kind of socialist system, do we have alternatives to capitalism?
