I whacked a Alkaline AA battery with a brick a few times and it became a little warm or hot. I then covered it with sand. The batteries on a rock and there is no noise or anything coming from it?

I was being a stupid teenager and thought hey... why not.... is it oh no... or is it just i leave the damn battery alone and it won't do anything...

Go back tomorrow and pick it out of the sand and dispose of properly. do not get the battery acid on your hands, but it is not a huge health issue, just a pollution problem.

Not a problem. I have done it several times. Just use gloves for that.
