The teen retailer that built a lucrative business selling A&F emblazoned T-shirts and hoodies at premium prices is going to be logo-free in North America come spring.

I don't think that they'll be far away from honors come the new season.
這種當介系詞的用法屬於informal用法：come = when a specified time is reached or event happens

是否為here comes spring簡化，將here 省略come用原形，更生動些

Mr. Cookie is tough and sweet today. And when it talks, everyone needs to listen up and take notes.
So, is this "come" question another "無頭公案", just like the "see" in "long time no see"?
2014-09-04 20:06:42 補充：
語意上 與 文法上 都應該不是here comes spring簡化
她應該是時間副詞(片語或子句)用來形容is going to

Could it also mean "come each spring"? As in
Wilder beasts trek south for the water come spring.

If come remains a verb, why doesn't it come with an s? like
why is it in the root form?

I would side with Master Louis on this one. "come" should be a preposition here.

I believe the "come" here remains a verb. It is common in subjunctive use referring to some time in the future.
Come Spring = when the spring comes
Come what may = whatever happens

19. (subjunctive use) when (a specified time or event has arrived or begun): she'll be sixteen come Sunday; come the revolution, you'll be the first to go.

It is common that a root form is used in subjunctive:
I suggested that he be the one/you be the one/I be the one to close the door.

英語裡原就有許多"無頭公案"。我必須承認，將come spring 中的come 視為介系詞是最取巧但也最能圓文法規則的論述。但也不免心虛，因為這come 和動詞實在難以切割。任何
come $TIME$ 都可改寫成 when $TIME$ comes

值得注意的是，come spring 早已深獲認同。多數人的腦部語言中樞和思考程序都認為 come spring 是直接有效的表達方式。(參見google Ngram)

I think this kind of sentence is better to be written as:
The teen retailer that built a lucrative business selling A&F emblazoned T-shirts and hoodies at premium prices is going to be logo-free in North America - come (this) spring.

Come (this) spring, the teen retailer that built a lucrative business selling A&F emblazoned T-shirts and hoodies at premium prices is going to be logo-free in North America.
2014-09-03 10:14:11 補充：
Basically, it means, "come (this) spring", all the above or following will happen.

I saw another news:
Obviously the target market here is children, so the tablet, built by a company called Fuhu, probably won’t pack the latest and greatest specs on the market — though it will ship with a stylus — come this spring.

這裡的意思是指"即將來臨的"，當作形容詞。例句: Mothers day is coming.
