Try to be nice.

In my experience most of them like Americans. I recently went to Hiroshima (where you-know-what happened) and my friends and I met some kids at the WWII memorial, and they were so eager to learn about us and appreciated that we donated paper cranes to the memorial.
Also a lot of their cultural aspects are becoming more westernized-- food, clothing, music, etc. At the very least you can't say they all hate us. XDSource(s): traveling to Japan
