Why won't the Ferguson PD release how many times Michael Brown was shot? Why is that kept confidential?

Update:

Chief Jackson and the St. Louis County prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, held news conferences on Wednesday to try to allay concerns without divulging the officer’s name or details of the investigation. Neither would say how many times Mr. Brown had been shot.

The Ferguson PD will not release the name of the officer either. This is turning into a coverup.

The feds are investigation, the locals turned it over to the county and the state, they are doing everything by the book. Nothing is being covered up, you think Holder doesn't want to prove his mindset?

It is not common practice for the legal system to turn over all of it's findings to the press for a public lynching.

Releasing the officers name would lead to more violence and the number of gunshots are unimportant to anyone but the investigators, the one that killed him is the one that is most important and whether it was first, last or in the middle.

You are a moron. The number of shots fired makes a material difference to verifying the claims of the officer.
