Whitney Houston had such incredible talent and she was both beautiful and so very young, with years of promise ahead of her, so the tragedy of her battle with drugs after she married the drug-provider Bobby Brown was a tragedy to see. I watch the movie "Bodyguard" with Whitney and Kevin Costner just to hear her sing, "I Will Always Love You" with such purity and power. I mourn the world's loss of her beautiful music.
Robin Williams was (and will remain) fascinating. My favorite movie of his was "Fisher King"---not as popular as some of the public's favorite, but so very powerful in message and meaning. I thought Jeff Bridges was brilliant as well. I also saw Robin Williams on "Inside the Actor's Studio," one of my favorite shows as a playwright and poet, and was amazed at the way this great man's mind works. He will be sorely missed.
