The closest national park to San Francisco?
What's the closest national park to San Francisco?
Of the several national parks in California, what is the closest national park to San Francisco that is easily accessible by bus departing from San Francisco?
Yosemite, Sequoia, Redwood, Pinnacles, Kings Canyon?
I'm not just talking about the distance. I'm looking for if there are any bus trips(package tour programs) available from San Francisco.

Yosemite National Park is 199 miles away, with bus connections available.
Sequoia National Park is 262 miles away, with no bus service there.
Redwood National Park is 310 miles away with no bus connections.
Pinnacles National Park is 123 miles away, with no direct bus connection.
Kings Canyon National Park is 238 miles away, with no bus connections there.
AND, you're overlooking the obvious.
Golden Gate National Park is right there at your doorstep.Source(s): California school teacher

Golden Gate Nat'l Park and beach. Right smack in the middle of San Francisco. Muir Woods is just over the bridge (and along some very windy roads) and there are tour buses that go there.

Besides Golden Gate National Park, Muir Woods is the closest, just over the GG bridge out towards the coast. Many hotels would have pamphlets for Muir Woods tours. It is a must see.
