A "Caught'ya" is a sentence or two of an ongoing, funny soap-opera plot that you put on the blackboard or overhead four or five times a week. Each sentence contains a vocabulary word and is laced with grammatical and mechanical errors. Students write the Caught'ya as correctly as they can while the teacher walks around the room, giving individual, positive feedback to as many children as possible. Then the teacher and students check the Caught'ya sentences together, using proofreading symbols to mark errors as they review reasons for the changes.

    大概的意思是老師每天在黑板寫一、二個有趣句子,句子間還有連貫性(有劇情),不過句子會動點手腳,例如在文法或結構上故意弄錯,要學生找出來訂正,然後師生一起討論或批改。

    Caught'ya 從 Caught you. (逮到你了!) 而來。

    用在這裡當名詞,是有問題的句子。

    只有這特殊場合使用,別的場合就回到警察抓人那類的意思了。
