First of all, when you are in the hospital, do not attempt to have sex. That is not the place for it. It's the job of the nurses to come in whenever they need to. Save the sex for home. I mean, seriously? Think about it. Wow.
Second, it is not healthy to have sex until 6 weeks after you deliver a child and that's only under normal natural delivery. I'm sure you have to wait longer for C-section but I'm not certain about C-sections.
And third, I am not a supporter of allowing the baby to cry. Babies do not cry for no reason. There's always a reason. They are hungry, they need to be burped, they need a clean diaper, they need a nap, and sometimes they just want to feel safe and loved and touched, so picking up a crying baby and talking softly and lovingly to her makes her feel protected and loved and helps build a bond and trust between you and your child.
Sex will be there again eventually, but new baby's needs should always come before your own needs and before the needs of your man. Welcome to parenthood.
