Why do other countries celebrate the Fourth of July?

I mean isn't it OUR Independence Day? Cities like Sydney, Moscow, Vatican City, etc. Is it just out of respect?

I know a lot of nations celebrate their own independence days throughout the year, but I wasn't sure why another nation wild celebrate America's Independence Day so I searched online and found this...

"It may be America's birthday, but the United States isn't the only country that celebrates it. Denmark started throwing a Fourth of July bash in 1912 after thousands of Danes emigrated to the United States."

I celebrate Independence Day. I don't celebrate "4th of July" any more than I celebrate 4th of March or October or any other month.
