Good books?

Looking for good novels to spend my time on. Please no books about high school love or family drama or anything of the sort. I want action/adventure/fantasy. Romance is optional. Also I'd prefer if it's not a dystopian novel. I've had enough of them.

Oh, and I'm a sucker for writing style. If it's unique and beautiful, I don't care what the book is about.

Books I've enjoyed:

Boy's Life by Robert McCammon (My favorite book. Ever.)

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (2nd favorite)

I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray

Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth (Meh... was okay)

Books I don't enjoy:

Anything by James Patterson

Anything by Sarah Dessen

Warriors Series by Erin Hunter

Thanks in advance!

A Daughter of the Snows by Jack London

A Daughter of the Snows (1902) is Jack London's first novel. Set in the Yukon, it tells the story of Frona Welse, "a Stanford graduate and physical Valkyrie" who takes to the trail after upsetting her wealthy father's community by her forthright manner and befriending the town's prostitute. She is also torn between love for two suitors: Gregory St Vincent, a local man who turns out to be cowardly and treacherous; and Vance Corliss, a Yale-trained mining engineer.

Tried TFIOS and Hunger Games. Both were okay, but I think they are overrated.
I will try Memoirs of a Geisha, though :)
