Internet wont work?

I have a desktop computer plugged into Ethernet, I have restarted the modem 4 times now. Steam and Origin and Google wont work, google says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET. Steam just wont run, and Origin just says no internet connection. The weird thing is, I can connect to other programs such as TeamSpeak, and the internet works fine. I have restarted the computer and modem, but it seems to be the computer that's affected, I scanned it for viruses and such. Any help?

If the problem is isolated to your computer and other devices are not affected then I would expect you have a browser hijacker. Working basically like a proxy, these nasties direct all you traffic to a site which is tracking your 'net activities and/or getting things like passwords and userIDs from when you log into places and various variants on those ideas.

I suggest running two of the following on your system: Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware free anti-spy software, SuperAntiSpyware, AdwCleaner.

You should also install/run Malwarebytes Free version (be sure to remove the checkmark from the default of doing a free trial of the pro version).

And finally, I suggest you run CCleaner, Glary Utilities or the Windows All In One Tool from tweaking.com to clean up your system.
