What major is good for dealing with renewable energy?
Solar energy, hydroelectricity, wind energy, nuclear fusion, smart grids, bio fuels, geothermal energy, etc.
I know that there's multiple majors and professions that can lead to this sort of work, but what path is the best for cutting-edge breakthroughs? I definitely value renewable energy that uses nature, but I'm not too much of an outdoors-man either. Solar energy, however, does seem really interesting (I also like astronomy).
I was thinking about applied physics or engineering physics. They aren't popular majors and don't have as much opportunity as engineers, but I think it could be a good path for me. What do you think?
