there was an army of "zealots" and a lot of people wanted jesus to be their King and he refused them.

he taught people to not Kill. he taught to forgive and love. in the LDS church he is said to teach us not to kill, nor do anything like it, and to renounce war. in the bible Abraham was taught to kill but it was to purge the land of the tribes that worshiped the devil. so that Israel could survive, Most of the time the policies of God were to keep peace but if the satanic enemies of God had their way, all christians and jews would be dead today. specifically if those nations did not defend themselves to preserve the prophecies and gospel of christ.

it is written that God is a warrior. but Jesus as the son of God would not even bend a reed so it would break, jesus was the prince of peace. there are two ways to have peace, either by force and the military, or by obedience to this commandment which is to "renounce war". jesus would not be part of a military in our world. because it should be known that there is no military that serves God. IMO, there are men who believe they fighting for the Constitution and freedoms. but they are fighting resistence to the kingdom of the devil.

Refusing to ever fight means believing that nothing is worth fighting for. I don't see Jesus Christ that way at all. During his mortal ministry he had a specific mission and part of that mission was to suffer and die for the sins of the world. His willingness to die for us does not make him a pacifist and is certainly doesn't make him a coward. It just means he knew what he had to do and did it. I believe he would fight and kill for a righteous cause. How many times throughout the scriptures were the wicked destroyed by God. Is that not the same thing? When Christ comes again it will be in power and great glory and there will be a lot of destruction. He will do what he must. Many wicked will die and I think he will probably shed tears for each and every one of them, but he will know that he did everything he could to save them and they refused.

Alot of the People of God did exactly that

Moses, David, Joshua, Solomon, et al

In Jesus' time it was a fools folly to fight the Romans...besides he had a job to do

Remember, He was the God of the Old Testament as well as the prophecies of the New Testament.

    So in a sense, yes!

Nah, he would just ruthlessly order his men to kill and then to capture their women and rape them.

"I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped (shakab). Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city."
