Do you think Obama has respect for our military?

He received a cold reception at West Point?

Did he not?

I think he has disrespected our Special Forces, the Navy SEALs, the way he takes credit for their success and hard work.

No, of course not. He has shown total apathy toward the long-known backlogs and problems at the VA, apathy toward the leak of the identity of the top CIA agent in Afghanistan, apathy toward Sgt Tahmooressi in Mexico, blatant dishonesty toward the people killed in Benghazi and those who wanted to help, dishonesty and arrogance toward the soldiers who pointed out that Bergdahl is a deserter, and disdain toward the role of the US military in general.

Obama was raised and educated exclusively by people who hate the US military. Nearly all of his initial appointees after his election in 2008 were people who hated the military. Many of them, along with Obama's oldest friends, his parents, his earliest political campaign supporters, and his childhood mentor were communists. His disrespect should come as no surprise to anyone who has ever bothered to research him and consider him objectively.

Obama does as all presidents do, here and abroad: he "takes credit" on behalf of the nation, because he represents the nation, and of course the members of the military are citizens of the nation as a whole. However, Obama never claims to have accomplished single-handed anything the military has done.

Yes, he respects the military. You, however, posted this question with a pre-conceived notion that he doesn't, so there was really no point in it, was there?

Obama does indeed have the greatest respect for America's military. He proved that by sticking his neck out for Bergdahl, he would do the same for any service person.

There is a good reason for the perceived "cool" reception at West Point. Why do young people go to West Point? To become career Army officers. What is the best fastest way to achieve rank, promotion, awards, rewards and higher pay? Go to war. Obama is pulling out troops and ending the war. Not what the graduating class of West Point wants to hear.

Oh you mean how the Navy Seals have been taking the credit of Air Force Pararescue, who are the ones that have actually been picking the astronauts out of the water for the last 50 years.

It's not that big of a deal, get over it.

Yes he respects the military by getting them out of wars instead of into wars. No shedding of blood or loss of life is ultimate respect.

Yes. But Bush didn't. He had an EGO trip that got over 4500 men killed in Iraq that didn't have to happen.

And he gave full credit to the seals for carrying out that mission. Where did you get the idea that he took full credit, Lush. or faux news?

That's why he gave a speech thanking Navy SEALs at great length and commending their bravery when he announced Bin Laden was found and dead.

And thanked Stevens and the fallen SEALs the day after Benghazi in the White House rose garden speech, mourned them, and said we will keep our resolve fighting against "acts of terror" like this.

He definitely respects the military but has a obligation to the county as a whole.
