How very BREITBRATT of you! BreitBratt, if you recall, used distortion, dishonesty, and taking words out of context to viciously (and unfairly) attack Shirley Sherod.
The "Fast & Furious" operation began in the Bush administration as "Operation Wide Receiver," and was begun by the Texas branch of the ATF, but then expanded to the Arizona branch without Washington approval, with the idea of setting up legal gun buys and then tracking those guns when the straw purchasers sold off to others. Not a well-thought-out idea, especially after the Mexican side of the proposed operation turned out to be unreliable, to say the least. When Attorney General Eric Holder was first sworn in, he learned of this project and had it IMMEDIATELY CANCELED, so your BreitBrat attempt to cast aspersions upon President Obama is inaccurate.
The woman supervisor who admitted in under-oath testimony before Congress that she had ordered closer scrutiny of the politically involved Tea Party applications for 401(c)4 tax-exempt status is a life-long Republican---something that twice-indicted felon and arsonist Darryl Issa (R-CA) conveniently failed to mention. She was doing her job, because the only way a group can qualify for the tax exemption is to be NON-POLITICAL (and the Tea Party is 100% political)---they are STEALING from the U.S. taxpayers and LYING on a federal form. She gave them the exemption eventually, so what exactly is the complaint here?
A woman friend of Representative Eric Canter (R-VA) helped "design" the healthcare.gov website, turns out, so sabotage is a possibility. President Obama took a HANDS-ON approach to fixing the problems, and...voila!...the problems got fixed in less than four months. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L.111-148) and its supplemental Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (P.L.111-152) is a consumer-serving, insurers-reforming SUCCESS STORY, with more than 8,000,000 Americans previously denied access now insured.
The one attack on a CIA outpost in Benghazi, Libya that occurred on the anniversary of the Bush/Cheney-allowed (and wanted) attack on 9/11 where four Americans (three of them CIA operatives and one of them our Libyan ambassador) was quite minor when compared to the more than 64 attacks on U.S. diplomatic sites which occurred while the GOP was in totalitarian control of all three branches of government for which no Republicans held even one single hearing---not even when two of these 64 far-more-lethal attacks on our U.S. sites were on the SAME EMBASSY in Karachi, Pakistan! Benghazi, by the way, is an Obama SUCCESS STORY, if you pull up camera coverage of the night of the attack. You will see the residents of Benghazi (the people who found an unconscious Ambassador Stevens and carried him to the local hospital) LINED THE STREETS with HANDMADE PRO-AMERICA SIGNS, letting the world know they were "sorry for this"..."We Love the U.S."..."We loved Ambassador Stevens"..."This is not what Islam is about"! These same Libyans later attacked and burned down a house they believed sheltered leftover militant soldiers from the Khaddafy army whom the villagers thought had instigated the attack on our CIA outlet.
I am a military veteran. The VA hospital in Arizona is under the jurisdiction of Republican Governor (and Republican rightwing) Jan Brewer. The GOP has a nasy history of sneakily attempting to privatize our VA system, something that I joined other veterans in preventing during the lawless Bush/Cheney days. Under President Obama, VA funding as doubled and under General Shenseki's wise leadership, medical care has been upgraded to differentiate between brain trauma and PTSD, among other positive changes. The individual ADMINISTRATORS at the various VA hospitals in each state have to be held accountable for possible misuse of federal funds (the John Cochran VA hospital in St. Louis, for example, got themselves a nice new entry door from a contractor with family connections to the hospital administrator, but this same administrator then cut nursing to only ONE NURSE for overnight care on a ward! I believe (and proposed to the White House) that a panel comprised of at least two nurses, four military veterans, one federal auditor, two technicians, and at least one doctor should be put into place in each facility with the authority to PRE-APPROVE or to REJECT every administrative purchase, setting the PRIORITIES that are needed and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.
President Obama, in a HANDS-ON ACTION, has sent an organizational expert to assist General Shenseki in making sure our veterans nationwide, state by state, are well served.
