Dear G, I am using another account to reply to you because the ans page would not permit me to type anything and the comment row has a word limit.
I hope that your disappointment with Trevor Hammack is less now than it was three days ago. If Trevor had not practiced what he preached, and has been involved in serious sin (which nobody wants to mention, I presume, for fear of shaming him), I agree with you that it is necessary to relinquish his ministerial post as Christ places preachers on a higher ground of responsibility.
However please let your exasperation cool off. At least Trevor has decided to end all his pastoral roles. This reflects repentance.
Moral lapses are not uncommon among those in authority. All believers still harbor an old nature. I am a depraved sinner. I have umpteen sins and I find it amazing that the Almighty still permits me to be a child of God. I suppose that is why they call it amazing grace.
Even if Trevor cannot be pastor anymore, I hope he can channel his God given talents to help the lost world understand who they are and why they need Christ.
I wish and hope you will continue to be as deeply and spiritually nourished as you and every body were when Trevor was still giving sermons.
To G from Staff.
